The Ride of a Lifetime Part 2

hmcneal1405

In my last writing I began to tell you about what started out to be just a ride but would end up being moments that would change my life forever. Once we made it to the location that he had asked to be dropped off at, he invited me inside and I accepted the offer. We both got out of the car, and I let him lead the way because I wasn't sure which house we were going to. Looking around the neighborhood, it looked like a pretty nice place, nothing really startling stood out and I didn't feel like I was in any danger. He led me to this smaller house that was behind some larger houses in like somewhat of an alley. I ended up parking in like a backyard/alley type area and we walked further up to this what I called the "back house". Once we got inside the house, I did start to feel like maybe this wasn't a great idea. Looking around, the house looked very "unkept" pop cans, Vienna cans, empty plates and just like different type of food containers that needed to be put it the trash. The place was really small like one room, a bathroom type area. I started asking who's place it was and questions of that matter. He told me that it was his "kick-it" area, a place that he and his guys got together to hang out, smoke, play the game and things of that nature. Giving how it looked, it did look like a place a bunch of guys got together to hang. I mean it wasn't horribly filthy, but it could use some tidying up.

Well by this time we both knew we weren't there to discuss the cleanliness of his place and what he did in it. Somehow, although it was unspoken, we both knew by now what we were there, so we chatted for a few minutes and started to do what we came to do. Being that we had just met the same day and talked a little, the starting point was very awkward and weird. There were no feelings involved, no pre talk, four play or anything that happens between two individuals that are normally in position. To possibly make the encounter less awkward and move forward so that I could get back home, I do remember letting him know that I was ok with what was happening, and he didn't have to be so nervous. Although deep down I was also nervous. At some point, not long after we started getting remotely comfortable, there were voices outside and a knock on the door. Now by time, starting to get shaky, he jumps up and tells me to just be quiet and he was quiet and he just kind of stood there until the knocking stopped. At this point, I'm still in the same position I had been in waiting to see what he would do next. He told me to wait while he went to the bathroom, once he went to the bathroom, I noticed him removing the items that we were using and throwing it away, so i began to follow his lead and kind of sit up and start to get myself together to prepare to leave. When he left the bathroom he came back to the front, opened either the door or the window, looked out and said, "oh shit" and began to run out the door and away from the house.

Now you know by now, I am thinking to myself "what in the hell did I get myself into"? Without knowing what else to do I did the same, got up, left the house and got in my car and began to try to back out of that alleyway/backyard type area. Leaving was harder than coming because my nerves was pretty shaken up and also while I was trying to back out, I had seen two ladies a few houses down, watching me leave the house and get into the car. By the time I was able to back myself out backyard I started driving down the street. Driving and shaking nervously, the only thing going through my mind was "I'm going to jail today, this boy done had be breaking into these folk houses". I continued to drive down the street and made it to a stop sign where the same guy comes out of nowhere and jumps back in my car. Now, I'm asking him, what is going on, why did you leave me, why did you run, who's place was that did you break in? I mean I asked so many questions in such a short time, and his only response was "just drive" while he looked backward out of the back window. Noticing him keep looking back, made me look back, when I looked back, I see this car, which the same two women who were watching me leave the place now following me. So, while driving, I asked him again, "who are they, why are they following me, and did you break into their house"? His respond once again was no, just keep driving; we'll lose them. I told him no; I'm not going to get into a high-speed chase in Clarkdale. This area is too small for this type of foolishness, I'm just going to stop and see what they say, if you didn't do wrong! He tries to convince me not to, but at this point I felt it was best to just stop, pull over, and face the music. So that's what I did, found a street to stop on, pulled over and proceeded to roll the window down and see what was going on, as the two women approached my vehicle.
